Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Learning and Development Subject Matter Expert for York chiller products. This role connects engineering, product development, and field operations to deliver technically accurate training for chiller mechanics and HVAC leaders.

The position emphasizes translating complex concepts into clear training materials, mentoring field staff, and contributing to competency frameworks. Locations may vary; extensive collaboration with JADEC and field teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience with York chillers and related systems.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences (mechanics to leadership).
• Experience bridging Engineering, Product Development, and Learning & Development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Learning & Development SME for York chiller products, translating design updates into field-ready training.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, and L&D to shape accurate, current content.
• Develop learning materials, job aids, and reference guides for field technicians and leaders.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate with regional teams to close skill gaps and improve field readiness.
