YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a Senior Program Leader for its Pre-K / Kindergarten program at the YMCA Loudoun at Sterling Elementary in Sterling, VA.

The role focuses on creating a positive environment for early learners while supporting and guiding other staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with children ages 3–6 in a licensed or educational setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or early childhood coursework strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience fostering an environment for children of all abilities is valued.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise engaging activities for Pre-K and Kindergarten students.
• Design developmentally appropriate lesson plans and routines.
• Provide mentorship and support to Group Leaders.
• Communicate clearly with families and site leadership.
• Monitor safety, attendance, and behavior.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children.

Location:YMCA - Sterling, VA
Compensation:$17.00 per hour
Schedule:Part-Time | Afternoon/Evening Hours | School Year

• Monday-Friday
• Before Care6:30am-8:00am and or
