Job summary

The Richardson School is seeking an Instructional Aide to join their Cudahy team. You are responsible for caring for students directly, assisting with education, therapeutic/behavioral support, and hygiene as needed. Relationship building is essential as you help students meet their needs under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with special needs students preferred.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Meets with classroom teacher and/or supervisor to discuss daily activities, academics, behavioral support, and related concerns.
• Completes and submits paperwork and data in a timely fashion as scheduled per student.
• Uses Agency-approved treatment techniques and demonstrates familiarity with behavior management.
• Acts as a role model and supports students, staff, and the community.
• Implements students' academic programs under teacher direction and training.
