Job summary

The Richardson School in Cudahy, WI is seeking an Instructional Aide to assist students with significant needs. Responsibilities include supporting academics, behavioral and medical needs, and implementing IEP-directed programs under teacher direction.

The role requires effective collaboration with staff, adherence to school policies, and a calm, problem-solving approach to daily challenges. This is a Monday–Friday school-year position with ESY and camp options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
• At least one year of experience working with special needs students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets with classroom teacher to discuss daily activities, academics, behavioral support and medical concerns.
• Completes and submits paperwork, instructional data, and behavior data as scheduled.
• Uses agency-approved treatment techniques in supervising and educating students after training.
• Demonstrates familiarity with behavior management and education techniques used at TRS.
• Engages students in active learning as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Provides support for all staff in the classroom setting and follows Education Department policies.
