Job summary

Amazon is hiring Transportation Associates to move trailers in the yard, coordinate yard activities, and support site operations. You will train for CDL-related programs and operate various vehicle types in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, inspecting equipment, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining on-time trailer movements. The role offers hands-on transportation experience and potential CDL sponsorship depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent diploma required.
• Candidates must be 21+ years old and able to read and understand safety guidelines in English.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours, and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority by following and enforcing safety policies for all yard operators and vendors.
• Perform yard functions to ensure trailers arrive/depart on time with zero defects.
• Operate commercial motor vehicles on yard roads and non-public roads as needed.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues to management.
• Follow schedules, track hours/breaks, and adhere to safety policies.
