Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches hooking and moving a parked trailer from yard to a door or vice versa.
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Loads and unloads packages as needed using conveyors, carts and other devices.
