Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Yard Switcher/Package Handler to move trailers between yards and doors, coordinate with control centers, and document movements. You may also sort and hand-load packages with care to maintain efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities include inspections, using yard equipment, and working in a fast-paced team environment. A valid driver's license and DOT file are required or maintained; CDL experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions.
• Ability to discern numbers to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to operate basic yard equipment and hand tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Move and switch trailers between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management/central control.
• Document trailer moves in Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Load and unload packages as needed using hand-to-surface methods.
