Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months experience preferred; no experience required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and sort packages.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving trailers to/from doors and yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or control centers.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Load and unload packages from vehicles, conveyors, and carts.
• Sort packages by scanning labels and reading charts.
• Work safely in hot/cold, loud environments and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with manual handling of packages as needed.
