Qualifications

• Minimum education: none required.
• Six months of package handler or switching/CDL operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors using hooking and moving techniques.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management and/or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Follow yard switching safety processes and procedures.
• Load and unload packages onto/from delivery vehicles, trailers, and conveyor system carts.
• Sort packages by scanning labels and charts and place them accordingly.
