Job summary

Qualifications

• No experience required; six months preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) file.
• Familiarity with basic safety procedures and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors using hooking and moving techniques.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management and central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Assist with package handling as needed, lifting and sorting packages.
• Operate hand-to-surface methods for all package handling.
