Qualifications

• No education required
• Valid driver’s license and DOT file required
• Ability to follow instructions and safety methods
• Ability to sort packages accurately using labels and numbers
• Strong communication in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches by hooking and moving parked trailers between yard and doors
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment
• Loads and unloads packages onto/from delivery vehicles, trailers and carts
• Lifts and carries packages for two to four hour shift periods
• Sorts packages by scanning, labels and charts
• Performs other duties as assigned
