Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be 17+ years of age
• CDL if driving on public roads
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse if CDL holder
• Stable work history

Responsibilities

• Safely handle tractor/trailers and large equipment in the yard
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of yard and dock equipment
• Cube, load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand
• Load freight to prevent damage using blocking, bracing, load bars, straps, dunnage and air bags
• Set up, break down and hook trailers safely
• Ensure all pup trailers have tilt bar lowered prior to loading
• Raise and lower landing gear
• Monitor yard for unsafe drivers and non-employees
• Work in outdoor weather conditions
• Communicate effectively with Dock supervision, Line Haul drivers and Fleet Services
• Regular attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks
