Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a warehouse/dock attendant to load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck while ensuring proper strap/bracing and padding to prevent damage. The role includes documenting freight condition on arrival and performing pre/post-shift equipment inspections.

Candidates should be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends, and lift up to ~70 lbs. Prior transportation experience is preferred, and a stable employment history is desired.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to push/pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum 70 lbs.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs. or more as needed.
• Ability to work varied shifts including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight upon arrival at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance and operate in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
