This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, performance coaching, and clear communication with Dispatch, Sales, and branch leadership to meet daily load commitments and maintain high service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in yard/warehouse.
• Prior lumber experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and accountability for hourly teams.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and yard safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and supervise Yard Associates, ensuring safe and accurate performance.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and yard coverage.
• Conduct performance reviews and handle employee relations.
• Ensure accurate order pulling, staging, and load readiness.
• Maintain yard organization and inventory accessibility.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely loads.
• Monitor yard metrics and report on branch scorecard.
• Enforce OSHA safety policy and training.
• Respond to customer issues at the yard.
