Job summary

Proficient Auto Logistics is seeking a Yard Supervisor/Dispatcher to support contractors in the proper loading of vehicles, meet DOT and company standards, and manage yard inventory and damage processes.

You will reconcile yard inventory weekly, generate reports, and coordinate with the Terminal Manager to ensure freight is accounted for and shippable. Strong supervision, dispatch prioritization, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Management or supervisory experience in auto transport preferred.
• Some dispatcher experience preferred.
• Ability to work weekends when necessary.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe loading of vehicles and enforce yard safety.
• Reconcile yard inventory weekly and document results.
• Identify lost or damaged units and coordinate resolution.
• Minimize aged freight with timely carrier coordination.
• Build loads accurately for efficient vehicle movement.
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally.
• Document loss/damage investigations with accurate forms.
• Educate drivers and contractors on yard procedures.
