Job summary

United Parcel Service, Inc. is seeking a dispatch and yard operations professional to assist with planning, load/tractor assignments, and staffing to meet service, safety, and cost goals. You will monitor loads, supervise yard operations, and coordinate with drivers to ensure trailers are in correct locations.

Key duties include reviewing driver hours, safety audits, training needs, and performance evaluations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kgs).
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication; working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts hazardous materials audits.
• Reviews safety reports.
• Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods.
• Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
• Provides feedback and support.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
