Job summary

A Tool Shed Inc. is seeking a Yard Supervisor to oversee the rental yard operations and lead yard staff in daily tasks. You will coordinate safety, equipment use, and customer service while ensuring efficient workflow and proper maintenance of fleet.

The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to train others, and clear communication with internal teams. Travel between store locations may be needed, with a typical 32-hour weekly schedule during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of warehouse, delivery, or routing experience.
• At least 1 year of operations management or related experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Train yard workers on safety and equipment functions.
• Supervise yard staff to ensure safety and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate yard flow and staff assignments.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
• Load and unload equipment such as forklifts and backhoes.
• Instruct customers on equipment use and safe operation.
• Travel between store locations may be required.
• Maintain professional relations with staff.
