A Tool Shed Inc in Campbell, CA is seeking a Yard Supervisor to run the yard and lead yard staff, coordinating with inside sales for rentals throughout the day.
The role requires safety leadership, equipment knowledge, and the ability to manage loading/unloading, maintenance, and customer service in a fast-paced rental environment. You will train staff, supervise operations, and ensure efficient, courteous service across the rental yard.
Summary: Yard Supervisors run the yard and instruct other yard staff to keep the rental yard running, as well as the duties and responsibilities of yard crew members. Yard Supervisors communicated with the inside sales staff for incoming and outgoing rentals throughout the day.
1. Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.
3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
1. Ability to access and send email, communicate over the telephone.
2. Use software interfaces such as: Point-of-Rental (Dispatch, sales & rental system), Google Drive, Microsoft Office, TSO GPS, ADP WorkforceNow.
C. Mathematical Skills
1. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

1. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
