Job summary

TAL Building Centers is hiring for a yard associate at our Bonners Ferry-area store. You will greet customers, assist with loading and unloading materials, and help keep the yard and warehouse stocked and organized. You will learn product locations and safety procedures, with forklift operation as part of your responsibilities.

The role is onsite only, with benefits and opportunities for training and advancement within our Northwest network.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
• 1-3 months experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not necessary
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must successfully pass our MVR requirements

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with loading/unloading materials
• Coordinate with sales and yard team for prompt service
• Assist customers in loading and unloading materials safely
• Verify loaded materials against invoices for accuracy
• May prepare loads for delivery and bundle safely
• Learn product locations and uses to guide customers
• Uphold TAL core values in all interactions
• Operate forklifts and light trucks after training and certification
• Report unsafe conditions or damages immediately
• May cut materials with saws as needed
• Other duties as assigned
