Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a yard associate to assist customers with yard materials, load/unload, stock, and maintain a safe environment. The role involves helping customers, directing them to materials, and ensuring accurate invoicing. You will load and unload goods, stock the yard, and support delivery prep on site.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months of experience preferred in similar roles.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass MVR requirements.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their needs, guiding them to products.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials safely.
• Coordinate with sales and yard team for prompt service.
• Verify loaded materials match the paid invoice.
• May pull loads for delivery and assist with packaging.
• Learn product locations and uses; ensure accuracy.
• Maintain safe work environment and report hazards.
• May use forklifts and light trucks with proper training.
