Job summary

TAL Building Centers, based in Vancouver, Washington, is part of a family-owned network delivering guidance for smart building solutions. This on-site store role supports customers by loading, unloading and stocking materials in the lumber yard and warehouse, while maintaining a safe work environment.

You will greet customers, assist with invoices and product selection, coordinate with the sales and yard teams, and comply with training and certification requirements for forklifts and light

Qualifications

• Friendly customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift/move heavy materials.
• Willingness to learn product locations and uses.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess the level of assistance needed.
• Direct customers to materials and assist with loading.
• Coordinate with sales and yard teams for prompt service.
• Assist with loading/unloading and verify materials against invoices.
• May pull loads for delivery and prepare for transport.
• Learn material locations and proper product uses.
• Uphold core values and safety protocols in all interactions.
• Operate forklifts and light trucks after training and certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
