What you’ll do as a Yard Laborer

• All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes, and weights of construction materials and equipment.
• Assist the Inventory Specialist with staging materials for specific jobs.
• Assist the Inventory Specialist with maintaining the location’s inventory, reconciling physical inventory, and offloading/loading trucks.
• Track, receive, and verify new material shipments and coordinate handling and storage as they arrive.
• Maintain organization of inventory.
• Maintain a clean and orderly shop and yard area.
• Assist with inventory counts.
• Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply reasoning ability and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Knowledge of Internet software, database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
• Must maintain a current DOT health card certificate.
• Forklift certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• Class A driver’s license preferred.
• Travel may be required.
