Job Details
  • Repair various types of equipment related to building structures for on-site and off-site properties.
  • Perform all carpentry tasks, woodworking, installation of new wood products (doors, windows), mop boards, wood trim, drywall work, etc.
  • Patrol all areas of the facility and grounds to ensure safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Conduct visual assessments and address potential issues and repair needs.
  • Locate, inspect, and repair facility equipment as instructed to meet maintenance schedules or requests.
  • Replace damaged drywall, tape and mud joints, sand, and prepare areas for painting.
  • Repair and replace wooden furniture, doors, closet doors, mop boards, baseboards, and window trim to enhance facility appearance.
  • Build brackets, mounts, and fasteners for machinery, equipment, or patient needs as instructed.
  • Maintain accurate records of routine maintenance, repairs, and security breaches.
  • Operate snow and ice control/removal equipment as needed, depending on weather conditions.
Skills & Abilities
  • Stand and walk 90-95% of the time.
  • Bend, twist, crawl, climb, and balance 45-50% of the time.
  • Work in loud, dusty, and dirty conditions; exposed to temperature extremes and humidity.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional carrying of up to 25 pounds.
  • May be exposed to biohazardous materials.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in carpentry, building maintenance, or related field.
  • Valid Nebraska driver’s license and driving record required.
