What you’ll do as a Yard Laborer

• Participate in all phases of underground construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment
• Assist the Inventory Specialist with staging materials for specific jobs
• Help maintain the location’s inventory, reconcile physical inventory, and offload/load trucks
• Track, receive, and verify new material shipments; coordinate handling and storage upon arrival
• Keep inventory organized and maintain a clean yard and shop area
• Assist with inventory counts
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate instructions and information
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)
• Ability to apply reasoning to carry out instructions
• Knowledge of internet software, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
• Current DOT health card
• Forklift certification
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Class A driver’s license preferred
• Travel may be required

Physical abilities & exposures

• Wear personal protective equipment
• Sit, stand, or walk frequently
• Work on concrete surfaces and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs
• Work in loud environments and possibly adverse weather conditions
