Title: Yard Laborer

We are currently seeking a Yard Laborer to join our Field Service Center team. Reporting to the Yard Foreman, the Yard Laborer is responsible for routine on-site tasks including loading and unloading construction materials, yard maintenance, and facilities upkeep.

This position collaborates with the Yard team to plan and support project completion, ensuring deadlines are met.

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with inherent hazards.

This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies as a Federal Contractor.

Qualifications:

• Construction-related experience is a plus
• Ability to operate forklifts and load/unload trucks
• Familiarity with heavy equipment
• Basic reading and writing skills

Essential Functions:

• Load and unload materials using manual or mechanical means
• Inspect, sort, and stack incoming materials
• Prepare shipments according to work orders
• Transport materials to job sites locally or regionally
• Perform yard and facilities maintenance (e.g., lighting, trash, lawn care)
• Clean and wash construction equipment
• Operate cutting torches and sandblasting equipment
• Communicate daily with team and supervisor regarding work status
• Work overtime as needed for yard and site maintenance

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 60 pounds, and 30 pounds above shoulder height
• Work at heights up to 150 feet
• Stand and walk continuously during shifts
• Perform grasping, climbing, bending, and working on uneven surfaces
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Have acceptable corrected vision and hearing
