Job summary

Wood Fruitticher Grocery Co Inc in Irondale, AL is seeking a Yard Driver to move semi-trailers around our lot and back to multiple docks.

You will ensure trucks are ready for unloading, loading and transport, and operate yard equipment on the lot. CDL is not required. Backing experience and teamwork are essential. 2nd shift: Sun-Thu 3:00pm–11:00pm (off Fridays & Saturdays).

Qualifications

Backing experience is required.
Knowledge of coupling and uncoupling is required.
Valid Driver's License (CDL not required) is required.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Move and position semi-trailers around the lot.
Back trailers to multiple docks for loading/unloading.
Ensure trucks/trailers are ready for unloading, loading and transport.

Join the Wood Fruitticher team as a Yard Driver. The Yard Driver will be responsible for moving semi-trailers around our lot and backing to multiple docks. This person will ensure trucks and trailers are ready for unloading, loading, and transport. The driver must be familiar with operating equipment such as semi-trucks and yard tractors. All driving will be on our lot, so a CDL is not required. Backing experience is a must. Valid Driver's License is required.
