Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Yard Driver to maneuver trailers using the company-provided vehicle and back them into designated dock doors while maintaining safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.

Shifts are eight-plus hours with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce is a plus.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma required or helpful.
• Ability to follow and comprehend instructions from leadership.
• Driver license is required.
• CDL experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects.
• Must be able to stand and perform eight plus hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and transports requested trailers to and from yard and dock locations within the yard.
• Ability to locate all physical locations.
• Operate equipment that is required to complete the task.
• Inspecting the trailers before and after loading to verify their condition.
• Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
• Perform other duties assigned.
• Maintaining a clean and organized environment within trailers.
• Maintain safe work environment.

Must be comfortable with utilizing a vehicle to back trailers into designated dock, while maintaining safety and efficiency of the warehouse operations. Must be able to work a schedule performing eight plus hours per day which could include overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.
