Job summary

PSS Industrial Group is seeking a Yard Associate in Midland, TX to unload, inspect, and move rental equipment, ensuring it is ready for rental or service when returned. You will maintain an orderly yard, fuel and operate equipment, and perform routine cleaning such as pressure washing.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related experience.
• Forklift/ heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work well in a team and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Unload, inspect, fuel, operate and move equipment in the yard.
• Maintain an orderly yard free of debris for safe operations.
• Pressure wash equipment to keep it rent-ready.
• Assist with other duties related to equipment as assigned.

Job description

SUMMARY: Maintains upkeep of the yard and equipment to ensure smooth operations of our rental business. Primary objective will be to assist and perform yard related duties to ensure equipment is ready to go out and as it returns ready to be check and serviced.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unloads new, used, and rental machines, while maintaining and organizing inventory of equipment.
• Checks in, fuels, operates, and moves equipment in the yard.
• Maintains an orderly yard free of debris, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods and equipment.
• Pressure washes equipment to ensure it is rent ready.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Assist the company is any other items that is request related to our equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One to two years related experience.
• Previous experience operating a forklift and/or other heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Acute attention to detail, positive attitude.
• Must be able to work well in a team atmosphere.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm, and the capability to multitask.
