Job summary

Western States Equipment Company is seeking a Yard Operations & Inventory role to manage day-to-day logistics for receiving, staging and shipping heavy equipment in our Idaho yard. You will use Dynamics AX to track availability and location, inspect gear for damage, and support rental operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of equipment experience, and a valid license. Strong communication and safety focus are essential for success in this team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year operating or certification in construction equipment preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months inventory and logistics experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Must be able to communicate in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day logistics for receiving, staging, and shipping equipment and attachments in the yard.
• Utilize inventory software to report on equipment availability, conditions, and location.
• Inspect new and used equipment for damage, fuel levels, and attachments; assist rental as needed.
• Oversee steam cleaning of equipment and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from clients, employees, and vendors.
• Coordinate with the Store Manager and other departments to ensure smooth yard operations.
