Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Yard Driver to operate commercial tractors and trailers in our yard safely and efficiently. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loads, and coordinate with shipping and receiving to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires following work orders and safety guidelines, a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MVR with good driving record; CDL preferred.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor to reposition trailers safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; report deficiencies.
• Coordinate with shipping and receiving to verify delivery and document transactions.
• Read and follow work orders, safety instructions, and manuals.
• Apply knowledge of product and temperature-sensitive (cold chain) protocols.
• Secure trailer chocks and locks; manage trailer security seals.
