Job summary

Arcadia Cold Storage in Arlington, TX is seeking a Yard Driver to operate tractor-trailers in our yard, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and move trailers between docks safely and efficiently. You will interact with shipping and receiving, follow HACCP and temperature-controlled handling protocols, and maintain yard order while meeting deadlines in a safety‑conscious, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; MVR required; CDL preferred.
Basic reading, legible writing and arithmetic skills.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
High level of attention to detail.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team.
Flexible schedule including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor to reposition trailers at designated locations safely and efficiently.
Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
Interact with operations management and shipping/receiving to verify delivery and complete documentation.
Read, interpret, and follow work orders, safety instructions and manuals.
Apply knowledge of product and temperature protocols when transporting and securing product.
Maintain truck yard order and cleanliness.
Follow HACCP procedures and safety requirements.
May assist in minor repairs to tractor or trailer.
Ensure compliance with driving regulations and safe maneuvering.
