Job summary

Paragon Pro Rentals in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Yard Attendant to inspect, clean, and organize rental equipment and attachments. You’ll manage in-branch yard operations, verify returns within 24 hours, and ensure safety and readiness for rental customers.

Role requires customer service skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate light construction equipment. You’ll collaborate with the Branch Manager and keep the yard neat while supporting safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree or vocational certificate preferred.
• Previous industry experience preferred.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license; CDL requirements may apply.
• Must communicate in English (speak, read, write).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic systems preferred.
• Ability to operate light construction equipment.
• Ability to work overtime with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Completes operational inspection of all returned rental machines within 24 hours.
• Inspects machines and attachments upon customer return for damage.
• Records fuel added and completes check-in within 24 hours of fuel levels.
• Assists in shipping/receiving parts and equipment to other stores.
• Maintains daily communication with Branch Manager for customer needs.
• Engages with customers in the yard; provides PPE and walks around machines.
• Maintains yard cleanliness and organization.
• Steam cleans equipment and attachments when requested; keeps area clean.
• Adheres to customer care standards and safety policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Details

Job Location: FORT WORTH, TX 76119This Yard Attendant is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and cleaning equipment within the rental branch location. This role also requires organization and storage of equipment and attachments in a neat and orderly manner.

Essential Functions

• Completes operational inspection of all returned rental machines within 24 hours of machine being returned.
• Inspects machines and all attachments upon customer return for damage.
• Records fuel added and completes the check in process within 24 hours of the machines return fuel levels.
• Assists in coordination of shipping and receiving parts and equipment to other stores.
• Maintain consistent daily communication with the Branch Manager to assist with immediate customer and business-related needs.
• Actively engage with customers when they are in the yard. Provide them with PPE if needed and ensure they receive a thorough walk-around and familiarization with the machine they are renting.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and organization.
• Steam cleans equipment and attachments on request; keeps steam-cleaning area clean and free of all debris.
• Adheres to all customer care standards.
• Actively cares and advocates safety. Adheres to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Previous industry experience preferred.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license required with the ability to pass CDL requirements.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems preferred.
• Knowledge and use of usage and operation of light construction equipment.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to work overtime with minimum notice required.
