Job summary

Paragon Pro Rentals in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy equipment rentals and scissor lifts, both in the shop and at customer sites.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, travel to jobs, demonstrate strong troubleshooting, dependability, and clear communication with customers and team. A high school diploma and at least two years of hands-on equipment experience, plus a valid driver's license, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Valid Driver's License with clean MVR.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within construction or equipment rental industry.
• Two or more years of previous hands-on equipment and/or engine experience, diagnostics and troubleshooting with rental equipment.
• Demonstrated positive attitude, integrity, and strong communication with customers and colleagues.
• Basic understanding of computers and software such as MS Office and other web-based applications.

The Field Service Technician applies mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance and repairs to all heavy equipment rentals and scissor lift equipment in the shop and at customer job sites; applies troubleshooting techniques and determines proper repair procedures; prepares parts requisitions.

Essential Functions

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental and customer heavy equipment with precision and expertise.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site or in the shop.
• Travel to customer jobsites to provide top-notch repair and maintenance services.
• Must have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Must have intermediate mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to perform repairs safely.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to interact professionally with customers and all levels of personnel within the organization.
• Must be a strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must be self-directed and well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service.
• Demonstrates ability to learn and apply new knowledge.
• Proficient in use of technical software, databases and manuals.
• Must be able to function well in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work any shift and overtime as needed to meet business and customer demands.

• Maintain company and product confidentiality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other web-based applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
