Company Overview:

American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care providers in the U.S., offering services 7 days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine. This position works directly with a franchised location.

Job Summary:

This role requires a combination of technical skills, patient care, and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diagnostic Imaging & Equipment Operation:

• Perform all diagnostic x-rays as ordered, using digital and non-digital equipment, following clinic protocols.
• Position patients appropriately and explain procedures compassionately.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process and review images for quality and identification, preparing them for physician review.
• Maintain and clean equipment and rooms between patients.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnose malfunctions.

Clinical & Treatment Support:

• Assist providers with patient treatments and care as per standards and protocols.
• Help with patient triage and room setup based on complaints.

Administrative & Cross-Functional Duties:

• Greet and register patients, verify insurance, and handle co-pays.
• Maintain records, logs, and reports of clinical activities.
• Ensure cleanliness of patient areas and front office.
• Serve as Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant as needed.

Qualifications:

• Meet Massachusetts licensure requirements for Radiologic Technologists, including ARRT or NMTCB certification, with up-to-date CEUs.
• Basic understanding of digital X-ray services.
• Knowledge of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently.
