Company Overview:

American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care providers in the U.S., operating seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on treating acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine, equipped with onsite labs and x-ray capabilities.

This position works directly with a franchised AFC location, with specific duties and benefits varying between franchises.

Job Summary:

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians, and support administrative and clinical needs such as patient registration and medical assisting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and explain procedures compassionately
• Position patients for imaging procedures
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
• Process, review, and prepare images for physician interpretation
• Utilize digital and non-digital imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with policies
• Assist with prescribed treatments as needed
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
• Serve as Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant if needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1-year related experience. ARRT registration or eligibility preferred. State licensing required. Other certifications like Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing, EMT, or Paramedic are acceptable in some states.
