Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking a part-time X-ray Technician for the Barnabas Health Medical Group's Pediatric Specialty Center. The X-ray Technician performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians and APPs in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

The position ensures quality imaging, radiation safety, and efficient workflow in the clinic. Schedule is 12:00pm - 5:00pm, totaling 16 hours per week; Monday and Thursday shifts;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital or physician's office X-ray experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• 40 x-rays per day.
• Multiple views for Sports Medicine, Trauma and Joint Replacement, Upper Ext, Lower Ext, and Spine.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The X-ray Technician performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians and APP's in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. The X-ray Technologist ensures quality imaging, radiation safety, and efficient workflow in the clinic.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program


• Minimum of 1 year of experienceas an X-ray Technician in a hospital or physician's office


• Knowledge of medical terminology


• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook

Preferred:

• EPIC knowledge is a plus


• Working with Carestream XR machine and Horizon Health Care PACS is a plus


• Experience with non-weightbearing patients/stretcher patients is a plus


• Knowledge of leg length series is a plus

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• AART


• NJ Radiologic TechLicense


• CPR Certification approved by the American Heart Association
