Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a part-time X-ray Technician for the Barnabas Health Medical Group's Pediatric Specialty Center in West Orange, NJ. You will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with attention to imaging quality and radiation safety, supporting physicians and APPs in patient care.

• Ensure quality imaging and radiation safety.
• Assist physicians and APPs with imaging workflow.
• Maintain efficient clinic workflow.
• Produce up to 40 X-rays per day.

Job Overview

The X-ray Technician performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians and APP's in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. The X-ray Technologist ensures quality imaging, radiation safety, and efficient workflow in the clinic.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-ray Technician in a hospital or physician's office
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  
  

Preferred

• EPIC knowledge is a plus
• Working with Carestream XR machine and Horizon Health Care PACS is a plus
• Experience with non-weightbearing patients/stretcher patients is a plus
• Knowledge of leg length series is a plus
  
  

Certifications And Licenses Required

• AART
• NJ Radiologic Tech License
• CPR Certification approved by the American Heart Association
  
  

Scheduling Requirements

• 12:00pm - 5:00pm (16 hours per week)
• Monday and Thursday
• Part-Time
  
  

Essential Functions

• 40 x-rays per day
• Multiple views for Sports Medicine, Trauma and Joint Replacement, Upper Ext, Lower Ext, and Spine
• Other duties as assigned
