Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital in Anderson, IN is seeking a Radiology professional for a PRN rotating schedule. The role involves preparing and positioning patients for imaging, administering contrast and medications within scope, and monitoring patients during procedures while ensuring radiation safety.

You will ensure quality PACS submissions with proper markers and data. Minimum qualifications include BLS within 30 days of hire and credentials such as CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARRT

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
• Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Prepares and positions patients for imaging and selects exposure factors accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity; monitors protocols and updates as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines; prevents unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Ensures high-quality images and documents are submitted to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data/history.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepares and positions patients for imaging and selects exposure factors accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
