Ascension is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the hospital radiology department in Boonville, IN. The role is PRN and involves positioning patients, performing imaging procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Required credentials include BLS and Indiana Radiology Services credential within 6 months, plus eligibility for ARRT/ARDMS or CCI credentials within 6 months. Benefits support well-being and retirement planning.

Qualifications

• Must hold BLS provider credential within 30 days of hire.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program within 180 days of hire.
• One or more of: Cardiographic Tech (CCI) within 180 days; ARRT Radiography specialty within 180 days; ARDMS Medical Sonography within 180 days.

• Maintains a clean, safe, orderly department including rooms and storage areas.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepares, performs and assists the physician in special and advanced procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Helps position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
