Job summary

Turner Construction Company is recruiting an experienced estimator for the xPL Offsite Manufacturing Facility project in Huntsville, AL. You will prepare detailed estimates from drawings and specs, coordinating across structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines.

You will lead bid packages, support schedule and manufacturing capacity assessments, and apply DFMA knowledge to optimize project outcomes. Strong communication and MS Office proficiency are required; travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Experience across structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines is highly desirable.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documents.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimate including quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for items in identified xPL project scope.
• Collaborate with the xPL team and stakeholders to define scope and requirements.
• Apply DFMA practices to align requirements with manufacturing and facility capacity.
• Lead document management for the project and distribute information to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with vendors and procurement to obtain best-in-market pricing and substitutions.
