Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator for the xPL Offsite Manufacturing Facility with projects in Huntsville, AL. The role involves preparing detailed estimates from drawings across structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and developing bid packages for vendors and integrators.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of related experience, with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines is desirable.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimate including quantity take-offs, analysis, and studies for items in identified xPL project scope.
• Collaborate with xPL team and stakeholders to understand scope and proposed solutions.
• Apply DFMA knowledge to understand project requirements for manufacturing and facility capacity.
• Lead document management for the project and distribute information to stakeholders.
• Assist with defining the setup of estimate, estimate schedule, and responsibility matrix.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and integrators to obtain best-in-market pricing.
• Analyze cost data and material costing to develop standard information for cost estimation.
• Develop value analysis studies evaluating schedule, cost, and labor benefits.
• Gain understanding of factors required for comprehensive xPL solutions scoping.
