Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an Experienced Estimator for the xPL Offsite Manufacturing Facility project in Huntsville, AL. You will prepare detailed estimates from drawings, coordinating with structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines and developing bid packages for vendors and third-party integrators.

You will apply DFMA knowledge, manage estimate documents, and work with xPL stakeholders to ensure complete, competitive proposals aligned with schedules and procurement needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Experience and expertise in structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines, highly desirable.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documents.
• Conceptual ability to work with minimal information and quickly develop understanding of project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimate including taking-offs, analysis, and studies for items in the identified scope.
• Collaborate with the xPL team and stakeholders to understand the scope and proposed work.
• Apply DFMA practices to understand project requirements for xPL manufacturing.
• Lead document management for the project and distribute information to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and integrators to obtain pricing and substitutions.
• Develop and maintain pricing data and cost databases.
• May supervise xPL team members as assigned.
