Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator for the xPL Offsite Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on preparing detailed estimates across structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and applying DFMA to optimize scope and cost.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience, strong reading of contract docs, and proficiency in estimating software and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience, or equivalent.
• Experience with structural, mechanical, and/or electrical disciplines preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, scopes, and schedules.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to analyze documents qualitatively and quantitatively.
• Familiarity with DFMA practices and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for xPL solutions based on drawings and specs.
• Develop bid packages and scope for vendors and third‑party integrators.
• Coordinate with xPL stakeholders on schedule, capacity, logistics and delivery.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and cost studies for identified scopes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define scope boundaries and requirements.
• Lead DFMA knowledge application to align project requirements with manufacturing.
