Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in structural, mechanical, and/or electrical disciplines.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Conceptual ability to work with minimum information and quickly understand project requirements and develop accurate estimates.
• Familiarity with Design For Manufacturing (DFMA) practices.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and estimating software.
• Limited travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimate including quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for items in identified xPL project scope.
• Collaborate with the xPL team and stakeholders to understand scope boundaries and identified solutions.
• Apply DFMA knowledge to understand project requirements for xPL manufacturing and facility capacity.
• Lead document management for the project and distribute information to stakeholders.
• Assist with defining the setup of estimate, schedule, and responsibility matrix.
• Serve as liaison between vendors, suppliers, and clients to coordinate scope and clarify requirements.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Procurement teams to obtain best pricing for materials and identify substitutions.
• Analyze cost data, unit prices, and material costing to develop standard information for estimating.
• Develop value analyses on schedule, cost, and labor benefits of xPL solutions.
• Gain understanding of factors for xPL scoping including contracts, logistics, and schedule.
• Prepare scope requisitions and identify/eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.
• Prepare comparison analyses to previous estimates and alternatives.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and document price levels.
