Job summary

Patient First in Fairfax seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform quality x-ray imaging, ensure patient safety, and support clinical teams. You will position patients, manage exposure, and document procedures with accuracy.

The role requires ARRT eligibility or a licensed Limited Radiologic Technologist, a high school diploma, strong communication, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and supervision provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT registry or approved Limited Radiologic Technologist program; licensed if required.
• Able to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Good verbal, written and visual communication skills.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality x-rays using correct position and exposure.
• Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure.
• Document x-ray copies per Patient First guidelines.
• Assist Physicians, Extenders, and Nurses with patient care and treatment.
• Supervise externs and Radiologic Technologist Assistants during exams.
• Maintain x-ray paperwork and clean the work area per OSHA guidelines.
• Restock x-ray and Treatment Area supplies; attend trainings and meetings.
