Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to obtain high-quality x-rays with proper positioning and exposure. The role emphasizes safety for patients, staff, and self, while documenting and labeling x-ray CDs per guidelines.

Responsibilities include operating the imaging equipment, maintaining records, and supporting daily center operations. ARRT registration and Virginia licensure are required, with clerical or clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Keyboarding experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• ARRT registration and Virginia radiologic technologist license required.
• Limited Radiologic Technologist must be licensed in chest/extremities/skull/spine/abdomen-pelvis.
• One year clerical or clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality x-rays with correct position and radiation exposure.
• Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients, self, and staff.
• Create and document x-ray CD copies and label images correctly.
• Understand and operate x-ray and processing equipment.
• Familiarize with the bell system and related workflows.
• Filing and maintaining x-ray paperwork and related records.
