Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with radiology responsibilities to perform x-ray testing, assist with procedures, and support patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role requires a current X-ray license and BLS certification.

The position includes full-time hours with a rotating 36-40 hour week and benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• TN State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and direct them to the treatment area.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Document vital signs, history, medications, allergies and other pertinent information.
• Assist with radiologic procedures and prepare patients per safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor or on duty provider.
• Complete required documentation related to each patient visit.
