Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Tennessee seeks a Medical Assistant with radiology responsibilities to perform x-ray testing, patient prep, and related clinical duties. You will develop film, assist with procedures, and support front desk operations in a fast-paced walk-in setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS, and TN X-Ray license, with ARRT certification preferred. Experience as a Medical Assistant is valued, with full-time rotating shifts and benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• TN State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly in waiting area, exam room, and radiology area.
• Document vital signs, history, medications, allergies and other pertinent information.
• Assist radiology procedures and ensure patient safety and shielding.
• Follow documentation procedures for patient visits and care.
• Support front desk during check-in/out as needed.
• Maintain radiology equipment; report malfunctions.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under supervision.
• Pursue ongoing radiology knowledge and licensure maintenance.
