Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Tennessee is seeking a radiology-capable Medical Assistant to perform x-ray testing, prepare rooms, and support the provider with patient care.

The role requires high school diploma, BLS, and an active TN State X-Ray License; ARRT preferred. You will greet patients, take vital signs, document history, and assist with procedures in a busy urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• TN State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly in waiting areas and exam rooms.
• Communicate wait times and direct patients through the treatment process.
• Document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies and other pertinent information.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Perform radiology procedures with proper radiation safety and shielding.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions; complete required documentation.
