Job summary

ChenMed is hiring an X-Ray Technician to perform radiographic exams under physician orders, ensure proper positioning, and minimize radiation exposure following ALARA principles. The role includes assisting physicians with procedures, maintaining patient records, and upholding safety standards.

Candidates should have an accredited Radiological Technology program, 1–2 years of radiology experience, and BLS certification. Local travel may be required, and weekend/evening shifts could be needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator required.
• A minimum of 1 year x-ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment required; 2 years preferred.
• Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Position patient under X-ray machine and adjust exposure.
• Perform radiographic exams ordered by physician.
• Maintain logs and records of x-rays and reports.
• Furnish radiation protection and OSHA safety practices.
• Assist physicians with procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy and injections.
